The weather in Skiathos is Mediterranean, with mild winters of high rainfalls helping to refresh and maintain the lush green landscape throughout the year, and long sunny summers with ideal temperatures, not as hot as in the other Greek Islands. During the peak of summer (from the end of July until the middle of August), in Skiathos, like the rest of the Aegean islands, the summer winds called “meltemia” occur. These winds bring cool air from the north, reducing the island’s temperature, mostly in the evening.
